(Reuters) -Tesla Inc will transfer instantly to carry a shareholder vote to switch the electrical automobile (EV) maker’s state of incorporation to Texas from Delaware, CEO Elon Musk mentioned in a publish on X on Thursday.
The billionaire’s feedback come two days after a Delaware choose tossed out his record-breaking $56 billion Tesla (NASDAQ:) pay bundle, calling the compensation granted by the EV maker’s board “an unfathomable sum” that was unfair to shareholders.
After the ruling, Musk posted on social media X, “By no means incorporate your organization within the state of Delaware.”
He then launched a ballot on X asking if Tesla ought to change its state of incorporation to Texas. Greater than 87% of the over 1.1 million votes solid have been in favor of a shift.
