Inflation back on the rise, housing prices rising again

Israel’s Shopper Worth Index (CPI) rose 0.6% in March, barely greater than the economists’ expectations of 0.5%. Costs of recent properties remained unchanged.

Within the comparability between January-February 2024 and January-February 2023, the index of housing costs rose 0.3%. Within the breakdown by area, costs rose by 4.4% in Haifa, 3.6% within the south, 2.1% in Jerusalem and 0.9% within the north. Worth fell by 1.8% in Tel Aviv and 0.5% within the central area. The index of recent house costs fell 2.1%.
